Origin Story: Injury to Innovation
After Aviv Elor ruptured his elbow at a national judo competition, the struggle to reach his clinic and months of rehab inspired him to build new solutions. Six years of research at UC Santa Cruz inspired him to co-found Immergo Labs with Michael Powell and Ash Robbins. Together, they set out to redefine how people can do physical rehab at home using VR.
Now, Immergo helps care providers and clients meet in immersive virtual spaces, using full-body avatars and real-time movement analysis. By making remote biomechanical analysis possible with off-the-shelf XR devices, we aim to bring quality movement care to over 30 million Americans who live far from medical services.
